We now have a wide range of artificial plants and artificial trees for "outdoor" use. These items are manufactured with specially tested raw materials. These raw materials make these products long-term UV resistant (resistant to sunlight, so do not discolour). As a result, the products are assured of a long life and color fastness. Our advice, please note this: To prevent water from reaching the trunk, which could cause the water to freeze in the winter and cause the trunk to crack, we advise you to coat the trunk with a hardening coating (which makes the trunk becomes really watertight) and finished with polyurethane foam. The seasons certainly have an impact on the quality of the products and the natural trunks can certainly rot, if they have not been treated (with clear varnish for instance) well.

BUT: Please do not mix up UV-safety with resistance for storm and rain influences.
Of course all branches of these artificial trees could break in stormy weather and leaves may fall off. We do advise when used outdoors to somehow secure the trees for wind and rain by some kind of roofing and or protective placement near walls.
